About this event

After attending a 14-hour Reconnect for Resilience™ training, those who would like to deepen their knowledge and build their confidence using our resiliency tools, are eligible to attend a 6-hour virtual Resiliency Champions workshop and receive additional coaching and technical assistance from the Resources for Resilience™ team. Whereas this specialized workshop does not train participants to teach the full 14-hour Reconnect for Resilience™ curriculum to others, it does prepare them to share resiliency-focused tools and information with others in their community.

The virtual Resiliency Champions workshop includes opportunities for up to 20 participants to engage in implementation planning and practice the Reconnect for Resilience™ resiliency tools. Those who complete this training will then be charged with promoting trauma education and sharing resiliency tools in the organizations and communities in which they are embedded. During this virtual workshop, participants will be given concrete ideas to support the introduction and use of resiliency tools in their classrooms and schools.

This event is offered at no cost through the generous support of the Pisgah Health Foundation exclusively for participants who have completed our 14-hour Reconnect for Resilience™ training and serve or are caregivers of children ages 0-18 years old within the Pisgah Health Region in NC (Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, and Transylvania counties).

The training is approved by the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE). Early educators will receive 6 contact hour credits (CHCs) upon successful completion of both sessions.

This form serves as an application to participate in this workshop. Space is limited for this event and is NOT based on first come first served.
